East Beach is located next to the MOD
firing range range at shoeyburyness.
The beach faces south east and
you can get in excess of 2 hours sailing either side of high tide.
There is plenty of car parking - again Pay and Display. There is
plenty of grass for rigging. the far end of the beach is a designatrd Kitesurf area and there will be no shortage of kiters. The tide goes
out for about a mile and and can produce some amazing flat water at the
start
and end of the tides. A downside of the beach is the amount of rocks
and old bricks along the shoreline
How to get There
From the A127 -
1. Head east on
A127/Southend Arterial Rd toward Bellhouse Rd Continue to follow
A127
2. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A127/Prince Ave
3. At Cuckoo Corner, take the 2nd exit onto A1159/Priory Crescent
Continue to follow A1159
Go through 3 roundabouts
4. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A13/Southchurch Blvd
Continue to follow A13
Go through 1 roundabout
5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A13/N Shoebury Rd
Continue to follow A13
Go through 1 roundabout
6. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A1016/Ness Rd
7. Turn left at Campfield Rd
8. Slight left to stay on Campfield Rd
9. Turn left at Hinguar St
10. Continue on George St
11. Turn left at Rampart Terrace
Destination will be on the left |
